Update March 2011: Starting with version 5.0, we no longer support JWPlayer.

The Livestream platform is integrated with Longtail's JWPlayer flash video player. This gives you the opportunity to use any JWPlayer already integrated within you infrastructure to play a live video stream through the Livestream platform.

All that is required to get this running is for you to set the type flashvar to livestream and the file flashvar to the name of your Livestream channel on your JWPlayer embed tag.

If you are hosting the JWPlayer swf file on one of your servers, you will also need to specify a developer key, that can be obtained in the Livestream account center. Once you've obtained a devkey for the domain name where you plan on hosting the JWPlayer swf file, you will have to tell JWPlayer to use it, using the livestream.devkey flashvar.

Here's an example embed tag:

<object id="player" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" name="player" width="400" height="315">
	<param name="movie" value="http://cdn.livestream.com/chromelessPlayer/examples/jwplayer/players/player.swf" />
	<param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" />
	<param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" />
	<param name="flashvars" value="type=livestream&file=livestreamapi43&livestream.devkey=7vXKN4ccp_UH1B5Dnf3VyZ6dtonsc2e1q7A1HmHAAlOqZjZWNUF3N8ieAKy5FPFeB9zOtIhpC00MTbbMomhEL3hxC62MQAivaKpxCxjcMRg" />
