Lightbulb Small Setup Help

Hi,

I am currently streaming meetings from an older iPad w/ the Livestream app over WiFi. I love how easy it is, but the quality of the iPad is definitely not the best.

I would like to improve the quality by upgrading to a dedicated camera (Canon Vixia maybe) and using a laptop to stream. And here's where I get confused..Do I need another device to encode the feed or can I just use the laptop?
IE: camera>encoder>laptop or just camera>laptop ?
It's a somewhat basic Dell model, but I also have a 2009 Macbook Pro I could use if that would work instead.

Thanks!!

That workflow should work with our Procaster software, which you can download for free at http://www.livestream.com/userguide/...itle=Procaster. If you run into any problems however, feel free to open a support ticket at help.livestream.com.

I wonder if a more recent version of the iPad, I could easily make a good quality transmission?
